ARMADILLO MUSEUM is a software package dedicated to the museographic collections management.
This software package was inspired by our documentary software experience, and it responds to the scientific documentary needs and respects the current conventions.
It is adaptable to any kind of collections (fine arts, ethnology, natural science, archeology, etc.) and manages heterogeneous collections, at the same time as it allows transverse search.
ARMADILLO users can customize the software, for example by creating and modifying the structure of the documentary indexes (categories' names and number), thesaurus and classification plan.


The funds with various documentary structures can be managed and questioned simultaneously. The collaborative work is made possible thanks to the documentary, physical and financial streams management modules. ARMADILLO MUSEUM software has excellent charge-hold results, both in funds and dynamically enriched thesaurus.

Besides the features described in the Armadillo Photo software package, Armadillo Museum offers functions specific to the collections management.

Specific features for collections

  • inventory management, « the 18 columns », conform to the inventory method of the Museum of France Management, from June 23d 2005 and to the technical conventions of the May 25th 2004 decree;
  • documentary management, configured specifically for each collection. The only fields configured by default are ones that are necessary to the export to the national Joconde base. The elements typed in the inventory record may be automatically recovered into the documentary categories.

The Inventory and Documentary modules are supplemented by the physical management modules of the objects : movement management, associated with the localization management, preventive conservation management, restoration management, state of condition management, exhibition management, inventory control management, bibliographical notes management.

ARMADILLO MUSEUM allows managing the related files, such as excavation sites, transport and exhibition recommendations, professional directory (restorers, transporters), personalities (artists, sponsors, etc.)

ARMADILLO MUSEUM offers several optional modules: reproduction and on-line sales, on-line typing, documentary work flow, selective on-line publication, fine management of the access rights, multi languages.
